Susan and her husband, Bill, formed the Baja Community Foundation in 2018, after learning that many families in their adopted community of San Jose del Cabo cannot afford to keep their children in school.

The couple have been spending winters in Cabo since the early 2000’s. Soon after, they began supporting Liga MAC, which provides financial, educational and social-emotional support to help motivated Cabo youth earn a high school diploma and pursue a college degree or learn a trade.

A retired nurse practitioner whose career included educational outreach, Susan believes in the power of education to change lives.
