Catherine became a Baja trustee in 2021 after a career in art and interior design that included working at Sotheby’s Auction House in London and owning her own art gallery and interior design company. She was also active in many Chicago charities, including the Juvenile Protection Agency and Children’s Home and Aid.

Catherine and her husband began visiting Cabo in 2007 and built their home in the Querencia community in 2019.

“We were originally drawn by the weather, but decided to make Cabo our home because of the people,” she said. “This is what inspired us to become involved. The Mexican people have been very welcoming to us and we would like to give back to their community.”
